Magazine I Miss: Sports Illustrated
I Miss It Because: There was something about receiving SI in the mailbox and spending the next few days reading it in its entirety. It was smart most of the time, and timely, and gorgeous. The photos brought sports to life in its colorful poetic glory in a way newspapers couldn’t do. At least not on those days. For me, SI was a gateway drug to more magazines, a haze that I am still lost in apparently.
Look, I know SI still exists. Except it doesn’t. Not really.
